Cellular reprogramming
Partially resetting a cell's age without erasing what the cell is.
What it is
Reprogramming uses transcription factors to push cells toward an embryonic-like state. Longevity work uses partial, time-limited exposure so cells become biologically younger while keeping their identity as skin, liver or nerve cells.
Key mechanisms and technologies
- OSK factor delivery
- Epigenetic clocks
- AAV and LNP delivery
- Chemical reprogramming
